Meet Kelli
Kelli Skoog, MA, LMFT
As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I strive to create a warm, welcoming, and non-judgmental space where we can explore the challenges you’re facing together. I believe deeply in the healing power of a trusting therapeutic relationship. My experience includes working with trauma, religious harm, spiritual transitions, shame, depression, anxiety, life changes, family and relationship conflict, childhood sexual abuse, and self-discovery. I work with both adults and couples.
I bring a rich background of personal and professional experience to my practice. Married for over 40 years and a parent to two adult children, I know firsthand the complexity of life’s journeys. My own healing through therapy has shaped me immensely, particularly in navigating the impact of parental alcoholism, trauma, shame, and faith deconstruction. These experiences, both painful and transformative, have become a source of wisdom in my work with clients.
I’m also committed to ongoing personal growth, including actively working to dismantle biases related to race, body image, gender, sexuality, and spirituality, and I strive to be a supportive ally to BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities.
Over the past ten years, I’ve worked in diverse settings from private group practices to schools and addiction treatment centers. My approach integrates Somatic Experiencing (SE), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Attachment Theory. I also hold certification in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), which uses bilateral stimulation to support trauma recovery. Additionally, I’ve received extensive training in Discernment Counseling to help couples clarify their relationship paths. I continue to engage in advanced consultation and training to deepen my clinical skills.
Outside of work, I enjoy time with family and friends, gardening, decorating, exercise, caring for my pets, and traveling to the ocean. As an extrovert, I especially value deep conversations and shared laughter.

"Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing that we'll ever do."
